The movie deals with symbolism and one such aspect is the significance of the construction of the d am. The villagers live on a mountain known as 'Sita Peak'. The government has ordered the villagers to migrate and provided the families with relief money depending on the size of their property. The main characters of the movie include Duggajja(husband's father), Ganapa(husband), Nagi(wife) and Krishna (young man). Dugajja was the priest of the temple in the village and takes pride that his family has been performing 'nema' for generations. He remained adamant throughout the movie against reallocating.
