  The Advertising and Public Relations course is a dynamic course is a dynamic course which entails holistic learning through activities that take us outside the four-walled classroom. Here’s a peek at my everyday life as a student at St. Joseph University. The day starts at 7am with industry experts. Courses Integrated Marketing Communication, Consumer Behaviour, Media Planning, Brand Management, Crisis Management, Public Relations, Account Planning and Management, etc are taught by industrial experts who are also working in the industry. They bring their expertise to the class which gives an insight into how things actually work behind the glamour. They impart knowledge in form of past experience and case studies rather than strictly sticking to just academic books. Along with these regular classes, there are weekly guest lectures and workshops organized by the students after 12, noon. Some of the sessions include discussions on topics like “AI and Advertising”, “Writing Creatively”,

  BOOK REVIEW Book - The Villa: A Novel Author - Rachel Hawkins Genre - Mystery, Thriller Publishing Year - 2023 Source - Google Photos  The New York Times bestselling American author Rachel Hawkins has penned another gothic thriller, The Villa: A Novel. The book deals with parallel timelines and has a female protagonist, Emily. Emily is a thriller writer who’s currently struggling with writer's block, a mysterious disease, and an impending divorce from her husband Matt. Chess Chandler, a childhood best friend of Emily has also become a famous self-help writer, although with time these friends have drifted apart.  When Chess proposes a vacation in Italy, just for the two friends, Emily finds herself in the famous vacation house in Italy ‘Villa Aestes’. It is after going there Emily finds out about the murder in the 1970s that made the then-called ‘Villa Roseto’ famous. From here we see Hawkins dabbling between the past and the present. The movie deals with symbolism and one such aspect is the significance of the construction of the d am. The villagers live on a mountain known as 'Sita Peak'. The government has ordered the villagers to migrate and provided the families with relief money depending on the size of their property. The main characters of the movie include Duggajja(husband's father), Ganapa(husband), Nagi(wife) and Krishna (young man). Dugajja was the priest of the temple in the village and takes pride that his family has been performing 'nema' for generations. He remained adamant throughout the movie against reallocating. He's a man of pride, strongly believing in his old customs and traditions often
